It's The Economy Stupid: TGIF!

We’re UP!  Well, kind of, sort of.  (Just don’t look too closely.)

 

My minute on the soap box:

The real problem with the economy is that we’ve had no real income growth.   So even though inflation is benign, every time the price of gas goes up at the pump or you have to pay more for groceries or tuition,  we tend to feel it more on a relative basis.  So the consumer ain’t bailed us out of this one yet.  And probably isn’t until there are gains in real income.
