I would like to say something profound about today’s economic numbers…
But I got nothing. Lot’s of negatives. That ain’t good. I could give you all kinds of reasons, but the bottom line is positive numbers are good for Durable & Capital Goods orders, and negative numbers are bad.
Economic Event | Period | Economic Survey | Actual Reported | Original Prior | Revised Prior |
Durable Goods Orders | Sep | 2.30% | 3.70% | 0.10% | 0.20% |
Durables Ex Transportation | Sep | 0.50% | -0.10% | -0.10% | -0.40% |
Cap Goods Orders Nondef Ex Air | Sep | 1.00% | -1.10% | 1.50% | 0.40% |
Cap Goods Ship Nondef Ex Air | Sep | 1.10% | -0.20% | 1.30% | 1.10% |
When you’re looking for a “Plus 1”, and you get a “Minus 1”, ya ain’t right.
